Values & Vision
The FMF is a not-for-profit limited liability company which has set itself the task of developing high-quality events to promote the film and media industry.
With our events, the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film and Animation Production Days, we bring the animation world together in Stuttgart once a year, allow ourselves to be fascinated by moving stories, people and technologies while celebrating the art of animation. We aim to showcase animation in all its forma and diverse formats, providing filmmakers, producers, industry representatives, and the public with a place for inspiration, exchange and the development of new ideas and partnerships.
Our goal is to create a safe, sustainable, and inclusive event where unbiased and respectful interactions are a matter of course. The following central values guide our actions:
Diversity
We are fully committed to diversity and are convinced that diversity enriches our interactions. Discrimination and racism have no place in our organisation.
Participation
We regard ourselves as hosts and strive to create an inclusive atmosphere in order to remove barriers step by step.
Sustainable Development
It is important to us that our current actions do not limit the opportunities of future generations. We accept the responsibility and will work to make the organisation and its events more sustainable on a continual basis.
As part of the implementation of the APD, we ensure that we provide the necessary resources to fulfil all requirements of ISO 20121 in order to systematically integrate sustainability.
Promoting Young Talent
Supporting the next generations is particularly important to us. This includes offering attractive programmes for young people and opening up space for discussion. We would like to open up space to facilitate exchange, share knowledge, and establish networks.
Creativity, Innovation & Inspiration
We aim to inspire, offer new perspectives, and create impulses with innovative topics. We are driven by creativity.
Integrity
We act responsibly, honestly and reliably and in accordance with the agreements we have made. This includes complying with legal obligations and laws.
Corporate Culture
Passion and enthusiasm for the projects we implement are our shared motivation. We place great value on a warm, open, and loyal team culture, mutual support and appreciation, as well as a transparent and trusting work atmosphere. Flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work enable our employees to adapt to their individual life situations. We maintain a fact-oriented, friendly, and fair relationship with our business partners.
Social Responsibility
Fairness and equal opportunities are the non-negotiable core values for us. No form of written, verbal, or physical violence, demeaning or discriminatory language, gestures or actions, harassment, racism, or sexism, or any other targeted expressions based on gender, ethnicity, religion or worldview, socio-economic background, skin colour, sexuality, gender identity, physical or mental impairment, or age will be tolerated.
We reserve the right to deny access to our on-site and online programmes and venues to individuals who violate these rules.
If you witness or experience discriminatory behaviour, please contact us at: kontakt@festival-gmbh.de or + 49 (0) 711 – 92 54 60.
Sustainability
The protection and preservation of natural resources concern and oblige us all. In this awareness, FMF conducts its business activities in an ecologically responsible manner, commits to the goal of a climate-neutral future, and applies the applicable legal requirements and recognised standards for the protection of the environment and climate, to continuously reduce the negative impact of our business activities on the environment and climate.
Our goal is to develop events that leave as small an ecological footprint as possible and deliver added value to society. To achieve this, we align our efforts with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As a participant in the “Climate Protection in Cultural Institutions” programme of the Climate Protection Foundation Baden-Württemberg, we first established a greenhouse gas balance for FMF in 2022, which serves as the basis for our ongoing climate protection efforts and will be continuously updated.
