APD is Germany’s leading co-production and financing platform for animation. It brings together producers and potential partners in co-production, financing and distribution through curated one-to-one meetings — tailored, focused, and result-driven.

50 Projects from 20 Countries

For three days every year, APD hosts around 180 industry participants. 50 newly developed projects from over 20 countries are presented in pre-planned meetings, ranging from animated feature films and series to games, XR and cross-media formats. Eight of these projects are selected for the APD Talent Programme, which supports up-and-coming European creatives.

APD also offers a conference and roundtable conversations, which address current industry challenges with targeted talks and discussions.
As a joint initiative between ITFS and FMX, APD is part of the Stuttgart Animated Week — a unique combination of festival, conference and market that brings together up to 5,000 professionals from across the animation world.

APD is organised by Film- und Medienfestival gGmbH in cooperation with Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
