Opening of the Stuttgart Animated Week 2026 as a state reception

APD is part of the Stuttgart Animated Week: together with the FMX – Film and Media Exchange and the International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS), the three events form a week of inspiration, networking and animation.

Stuttgart Animated Week kicks off on May 4 with a joint opening as a state reception in the ‘Weisser Saal’ of the Neues Schloss. The keynote will be given by Reza Memari, whose production THE LAST WHALE SINGER highlights the creative synergy between film festival, market, and conference and was presented at the Animation Production Days in 2020.
